Privacy & data protection

This page explains, in plain language, what actually happens to your photo and your data when you use GreenPeel Foods. For the full legal terms, see our Privacy Policy.

Consent, before every scan

GreenPeel Foods asks for your explicit consent before any photo is analyzed. Nothing is captured or processed in the background, and you can decline at any point.

Your photo is used only to generate your analysis

We use your image strictly to produce your own skin-metric results and heatmaps. We do not use your photos for advertising, and we do not sell your images or personal data to third parties.

Encrypted in transit and at rest

Photos and scan data are encrypted while traveling to our servers and while stored, using industry-standard encryption practices.

Automatic deletion, by design

Your original photo is automatically deleted within a short retention window after analysis — generally within 24 hours — once your results have been generated. Your derived scores and any heatmaps you choose to keep are retained separately as part of your scan history.

You're in control of your data

You can request deletion of your photos, scan history, and account data at any time. We aim to build with data minimization and purpose limitation in mind — collecting only what's needed to deliver your analysis, and using it only for that purpose.

Built with GDPR-minded principles

Regardless of where you're located, GreenPeel Foods aims to follow data-protection principles commonly associated with regulations like the GDPR: collecting only the data we need (data minimization), using it only for the purpose you consented to (purpose limitation), and giving you meaningful rights over your own information — including access to what we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, erasure of your data, and portability of your results. We do not currently claim any specific third-party security or compliance certification.

To exercise any of these rights or ask a question about your data, visit our Contact page and select "Privacy or data request."
